• Alpha course online Spring 2021

    Alpha courses are a series of informal seminars exploring the Christian faith – excellent both for those who do not go to any church, or for regular churchgoers looking to deepen or refresh their faith.

  • Brownies

    We normally meet every Tuesday evening during term time from 6.15pm until 7.45pm in the hall above St Augustine’s Church on Amersham Hill, High Wycombe

  • CAFOD group

    CAFOD is the Catholic Fund for overseas Development, the main charitable arm of the UK Catholic Church for helping the poorest of the world.  The parish group represents it in fund-raising and awareness work.

    The Catenian Association provides practising Catholic laymen and their families with friendship, social activities and support.

  • Children’s liturgy

    “Children’s liturgy” provides, at our 11am Mass, an opportunity for younger children to take part in the first half of the Mass through age-appropriate activities upstairs.

  • Choir

    Our accomplished and friendly four-part choir provides musical support for the 11am mass, and other liturgies throughout the year. Choir practice is on Thursday evenings. New members of any ability always welcome

  • Faith & friendship groups

    The Faith and Friendship Groups are based on the successful home or cell group structure.The meetings are Christ-centred, encouraging every member to participate, to mature and to minister to each other.

  • First Communion and Confirmation

    Our sacramental classes for children wishing to take part in First Holy Communion, and Reconciliation (Confession ) are over for this year, but booking forms are now available in the foyer for the 2024 programme. Confirmation classes will resume on September 16th

    The team provides beautiful flower displays to adorn the Sanctuary for Sundays, Holy days and other special occasions throughout the year.

  • Knights of St Columba

    The national Order of the Knights of St Columba serves the Catholic Church, its communities, families and young people in general through national projects. In the last ten years these have included the ‘Wells for Water’ campaign, “Help the Samaritans” , “Help the Hospices’”, “Vision Aid Overseas” and Mary’s Meals.

    May Fayre and the Summer Bazaar

    The May Fayre was for many years the major social and fundraising events in the parish calendar. Lost to lockdown in 2020 and 2021, it has been partly replaced by a Summer Bazaar on Aug Bank Hol Monday

    Our mission is intercession.
    We normally meet in the Upper Room every Monday from 8pm till 9.30pm, An online equivalent is now happening on Mondays – click above

  • The St Vincent de Paul Society

    The St Vincent de Paul Society (or as it is often known – the SVP) is an international Christian voluntary organisation dedicated to tackling poverty and disadvantage by providing practical assistance to those in need – irrespective of ideology, faith, ethnicity, age or gender.
