We are committed to the safeguarding and protection of all children, young people and adults when they are vulnerable. We want to establish safe and caring communities which provide a loving environment by following legislation, guidance and recognised good practice.
Safeguarding is about creating churches that are a safe space for everyone; a space where children can flourish and adults can live up to their potential.
All parishioners volunteering for roles involving children, young people and vulnerable adults are required to undergo a Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check. All Eucharistic Ministers taking communion to the housebound and adult Altar Servers are also required to undergo this process to maintain good practice.
