The Cardinal Hume Centre close to Westminster Cathedral was set up by Cardinal Hume to help young homeless people to find accommodation and gain a foothold in society. To achieve its ends it needs the support of the wider public especially in the provision of dried and tinned foods, tea, coffee, toiletries and cleaning materials.
St Augustine’s supports this cause once a month by collecting suitable goods donated by parishioners, packing and delivering them to the centre. The goods are collected at the presbytery before noon on the third Wednesday of each month. They are then packed and driven to the Centre which then distributes them to the needy.
Please leave suitable goods at the presbytery before noon on the third Wednesday.
If you can help in packing the goods or in driving them to the centre in London please get in touch. Your help will be gratefully received.
