An Alpha course has recently been  running on Wednesday evenings, 7-9 ;15pm, at St Augustine's from 16th January, until 10th April..  The banner pictured above, on Amersham Hill, will shortly be coming down.

It was a very successful course, by the goodness of God, with around thirty people attending regularly, nineteen of whom went on a very beautiful weekend-away, where the Holy Spirit poured out blessings in a wonderful way.

We expect to be running another Alpha course in the autumn term, starting 11th September with an away-weekend on 18th-20th October. If you are not coming regularly to our church, but wish to be kept informed of opportunities to book in for the next course, please send in your e-mail and name to staugustines.alpha@hotmail.com.-  or, come and see us at the Parish Info tent at the May Fayre on the Rye, on bank Holiday Monday, 6th may. ,   And for anyone thinking of taking part, please try to keep free the weekend dates ! It is an important and highly valuable part of the whole course.

Alpha is a series of sessions exploring the Christian faith. Each talk looks at a different question around faith and is designed to create conversation. Alpha is run all around the globe, and everyone's welcome. It runs in cafés, churches, universities, homes—you name it. No two Alphas look the same, but generally they have three key things in common: food, a talk and good conversation.  for more information and taster clips, try https://alpha.org/about
